Shadow Days - John Mayer
New song by John Mayer - I still love him even though he has a bit of a bad rep for being a bit of a douche. Still one of the most talented singer/songwriters around I think!

Time 100 Fashion Icons
Time recently released their list of 100 Fashion Icons setting out 100 of the most influential icons in the fashion world since 1923 (when Time Magazine was born). Some interesting additions in there including the Olsen twins in the designers category which I don't agree with... don't get me wrong they have done well for themselves but I think some other designers should've made the list instead...
But I do love how many of the people who made it to the Muses list are not actually that recent or modern - clearly showing how style is timeless and transcends eras. Some of my personal favourites who made it to the muses list are Jackie Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn and Jane Birkin. Elegant + Simple... you can't keep your eyes off them...

You've probably all seen this poster before... check out this beautiful video all about how it was created and rediscovered...
sunday blues...
Sorry for the radio silence of late... unfortunately IT security at work has blocked blogger so my lunch time blogging sessions have come to an end! It's been a hectic couple of weeks so I shouted myself to a pair of new bright blue patent heels on Friday. They are so very pretty. Can't wait to take them out.
So some shades of blue to brighten up your Sunday morning... maybe all the blue will inspire my little nephew to come out, I can't wait to meet him - so hurry up bebi malar! xx

Gwyneth Paltrow's blueberry muffins
As readers know, I love Gwyneth Paltrow - I know some people don't like her but I just think she seems like a really cool mum who loves her clothes, music and food. She released a cookbook last year dedicated to her dad called My Father's Daughter which I happily picked up when it was published - it's filled with lots of simple everyday recipes. She has previously been quoted saying that cooking keeps her calm and happy, I tend to agree.
On Sunday, I tried out a few of her recipes - I made a very simple and delicious bolognese for dinner - no more pasta from a bottle :) and baked her blueberry muffins which she credits to her mum. Super easy to make and very yum.
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups plain flour
- 3/4 cup plus 1 tsp sugar, divided
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees celcius. Line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners. Whisk butter, eggs and milk in a bowl. Combine flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt in another bowl. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients; fold in blueberries. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups; sprinkle with remaining 1 tsp sugar. Bake until muffins are golden brown and a knife comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes. Serve warm.
