Since we have been living in Singapore, I am not as up to date with some of my Australian fashion so it was lovely to have a little reminder about what awesome stuff is coming out of there. The little reminder came by way of Zoe Foster Blake's beauty blog, Fruity Beauty  (it is excellent). I was reading a post about her gorgeous wedding and eyeing off the beautiful bridesmaids' dresses from  Bianca Spender .  I have known about Bianca Spender for ages but it did prompt me to have a little dig around her website.... The new season collection is gorgeous.  I am totally in LOVE with the first outfit.  That jacket!  Those shorts!  Those colours!

Our little family of three spent the past weekend at Bintan Island and it was just so lovely. Bintan Island is a very special place.  My big sister Bintan was born there + it is where my Mum and Dad's brave and scary refugee boat journey from Vietnam ended back in the late 70s.  However the Bintan Island today is a very different place to that which my parents first saw.   Full of golf courses and luxury resorts and being only an hour ferry ride away from Singapore, it makes for a nice little escape destination. We stayed at Bintan Lagoon  which on the whole was very good:   Pros - It has a ferry terminal right on the resort's doorstep - which means no faffing around with transfers with a little baby.  The rooms have been recently renovated so are nice and as it is an older resort the rooms are also   very spacious.   There was a big roomy daybed to lounge around on which was also the perfect corner for the little Miss to play and craw...

I can't believe my last post was February!  My neglected little happy space, but all is well in the world.  I am back working full time and in a new role so that has been challenging, exciting, scary, fulfilling... The little lady is 7 and a bit months now and is just the most incredible little ball of fun and giggles.   A lot to look forward to over the next few months including being home for 2 weddings (I just hope we survive the flight with the little bub as the one in April was a bit of a nightmare!).    The November wedding is for one of my oldest  friends  and I am lucky enough to be one of the bridesmaids - I can't wait!   The lovely bride and I were chatting the other day about bridesmaid dresses and we were looking up the current JCrew fall/holiday lookbook  - it is just SO pretty!  I think it is partly because of all those amazing blooms in the background.... Peonies + Rununculus = favourites. 

Someone who I have been seeing on the red carpet a lot lately and loving is Kerry Washington .  She has been around for years but is now making it big due to her tv show Scandal (great show btw) and her role in this year's Oscar nominated Tarantino flick Django Unchained. I think she has been nailing it on the red carpet.  I have noticed she normally goes for very feminine pieces but there is always a bit of edge or point of difference to it which many could not pull off.  I am excited to see what she has planned for the Oscars! This tune popped up in my iTunes library this afternoon while I was singing and dancing with the little miss around the kitchen to try and distract her and calm her down.  Such an oldie but a goodie - I love this song and it seems she does too!
