It's time to do your own thing...

Some words of wisdom from The Cool Hunter c/o my sister, YT.  Read her musings here : We say don’t worry what anyone else thinks, trust your own judgment. When others doubt, be confident in your vision. Stop waiting for the perfect time to do what you want to do. Just go for it and do it now. Don’t follow fashion trends. The most fashionable thing you can be is to be you. Travel the world, live in other cities, learn cultures. Learn because it keeps your mind young. What you do need is vision, tenacity and confidence in what you do. Do what you love now. Listen to your heart, it knows what makes you happy. Start doing what your mind has been ticking away for you to do for years. Take risks. Be in a relationship that flows effortlessly. Trust your gut feeling. Intuition is strong and powerful. Have the tenacity and focus to execute an idea no matter how daunting it may seem at first. Have the confidence in what you’re doing even when others doubt. Create oppo...

La Blogotheque...

Sorry I know there have been a few video posts lately, but a friend of mine put me onto this great site - La Blogotheque  and I had to share.  Les Concerts A Emporter (Take Away Shows) are basically one take recordings of some musos playing their music in and around various cities...  Simple, pure and organic. I have posted tracks by Phoenix and Sigur Ros but loads more to explore... A lovely way to while away a lazy Saturday afternoon.... Inspired Dining...

My name is Phuong, and I am a Masterchef addict.  I know I am a bit late on this bandwagon but Junior Masterchef and the first season of Masterchef (USA) is only now being shown on tv over here.  I now understand why Masterchef was such a hit in Oz and why there were daily articles about it on news.com.au. It's compelling viewing.  I am not sure why... maybe it's because you are seeing ordinary people doing some pretty awesome things that you could probably do yourself (if you really tried) and you can relate to it a bit better unlike other reality shows e.g. Big Brother or Biggest Loser . Anyhow, the Mr and I are celebrating the one year anniversary of our engagement this Sunday so I only thought it fitting to book us into Pizzeria Mozza , a restaurant recently opened in Singapore by Masterchef US judge, Joe Bastianich, and celebrity chef, Mario Batali.   The two have opened a number of acclaimed restaurants in the US an...

This is the story of a charming girl...

this is the story of a charming girl she laughs out loud, sings off key and believes in taking chances she is quick and curious and playful and strong she lets her imagination run away with her she has never been one to stick to convention she is fond of daydreams that take her placess she can order a cocktail in six different languages she feels that understated is overrated

Japan love...

Some friends of ours are currently holidaying in Japan (they were also our wedding photographers and have an awesome blog here . If you are getting married I definitely recommend them)... Anyhow, I have been reading their tweets and status updates and am reminiscing and dreaming about Japan.  I spent a year in Sapporo on exchange whilst at uni and have visited Japan I think at least 4 other times... it has been about 2 years since my last visit so perhaps another one is due soon?!?!  There is just something about the place that I love - perhaps it is the memory of some amazing times, the delicious and unique food, the shopping or the wonderful people... I can't put my finger on it but you MUST get there if you haven't already.   On shopping, some of my must visit stores are: Uniqlo :  Your one stop shop for basics.  They have also partnered with many designers, companies, artists for the UT project - lim...
